I had high hopes for my stay, being close to the busy Ben Thanh Market, but the experience was pretty disappointing. The room cleanliness was lacking, and the overall vibe felt more like a rundown motel than a hotel. The proximity to attractions is a plus, but the hotel itself didn't meet my expectations.

Rooms
5.0
My room had old, uncomfortable beds with stained sheets and damp patches on the ceiling. The bathroom was full of mold, and shower water leaked everywhere. Honestly, not the relaxing space I needed.
Service
5.0
The reception staff didn't really help when I reported issues, and the process of handing the room key every time I left was annoying. Plus, they unexpectedly charged me for water during checkout.
Location
5.0
The hotel is pretty close to the market, but the area felt sketchy at times, and I had trouble getting a cab since many drivers didn't even know the hotel. It's not suitable for families or solo travelers who want a straightforward experience.
Dining

Breakfast was a disaster! I had to go to a dirty cafe across the street with limited and unappetizing options. Definitely not what I was looking for in a morning meal.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities seemed poorly maintained, with a pervasive smell of cigarettes throughout the building. The karaoke noise at night was frustrating, cutting into any chance of a good night's sleep.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of convenience and discomfort. The location was close to the busy central market, which was nice, but the overall experience was pretty disappointing due to cleanliness issues and noise disruption.

Rooms

The room had a damp patch and the bed was old and uncomfortable. Stains on the sheets made me question when they were last changed, and the bathroom had mold. Plus, I could hear noise from the hall, which kept me up at night.
Service
5.0
I appreciated that the staff allowed me to change rooms, but when I asked again the next day, no one followed up. Plus, having to hand in my room card every time I left was annoying.
Location
5.0
The location was pretty good, just a short 200m walk to the Ben Thanh market, but it was tough to get a cab since some drivers didn't know where the hotel was.
Dining

Breakfast was a real letdown; I had to go to a nearby cafe that was dirty and had limited options. I definitely expected more.
Facilities

Facilities felt more like a motel—there was karaoke noise that disturbed my sleep, and overall, the place just felt outdated and not well-maintained.

My stay at the Regal Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City was unfortunately disappointing. While the location was close to Ben Thanh Market, the room's poor cleanliness and unhygienic conditions, combined with a loud atmosphere, made for an unpleasant experience. Though it was affordable, I wouldn't recommend this hotel for a relaxing getaway.

Rooms

The room was old and uncomfortable, with stained sheets and mould in the bathroom. Additionally, the ceiling had a damp patch, and the noise from karaoke was disruptive.
Service
5.0
I found the service to be lacking, especially with room cleanliness. My requests for drink top-ups were inconsistently fulfilled, and I was surprisingly charged at checkout for the drinks I assumed were part of my stay.
Location

While the hotel is conveniently located near the market, I struggled to find taxis as several drivers weren't familiar with the area. The hotel's location felt less than ideal, especially since I had to cross a large roundabout to reach the market.
Dining

The breakfast was quite disappointing, served at a dirty cafe across the street with limited options, often covered in flies. It was the worst meal experience I've had.
Facilities
5.0
The overall facilities felt more akin to a motel than a hotel. The entire place smelled of cigarettes, and the dark hallways added to the unwelcoming atmosphere.

The service was lackluster. They kept my passport as a deposit, and I felt uneasy handing over my room card every time I left. I asked for drink top-ups and still ended up having to pay for them during checkout.

I had a pretty disappointing stay at this hotel. The room was less than ideal with outdated amenities and poor cleanliness, but at least it was in a central location close to markets. However, the noise from karaoke and other disturbances made it hard to relax. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place.
